Located in the heart of the stunning Kawartha Lakes, Peterborough is home to many things including the Liftlocks, The Canoe Museum and Canadian Hockey Enterprises. Our hometown camp has been running since 1987 and for 7 weeks each summer, we completely take over the Evinrude Centre offering world class hockey camps for men, women, boys and girls of all ages. 20 Hours on-ice Monday to Friday
4 total hours on-ice daily
2 hour morning on-ice with focus on CHE Patented Level 2, 3 Power Skating, Puck/Stick Control & Shooting/Goal Scoring
- agility and balance, forward and backward using both edges and learn how to attack the net
- developing speed stride
- utilizing upper body for better balance, and all aspects of skating
building speed muscles in legs
- circuit training
- parachute resistance training
- "Crosby Eagle Turns" & "Zetterberg Sculling"
- develop stick speed
- develop one-time shot
- when to shoot / when to deke
- develop all shots – wrist, snap, backhand, slapshot, top shelf shot, fade-away shot
2 hour afternoon on-ice:
- team play development in all zones
- full game'like scrimmages
- 3-on-3 “Pond-Style” scrimmage will take place on each day
Off-Ice Activities
- 1 hour of off-ice training including
- NEW patented CHE off-ice shooting enhancer
- K-Vision Lights (for advanced peripheral vision)
- sliders for skating
- 1 hour daily recreation including soccer, ball hockey, lacrosse, basketball and baseball
- daily lecture/video
- daily lunch and offical hockey camp jersey included
- groups will be limited to 34 skaters and 4 goalies
- goalie instruction - coach/goalie ratio 1:4
- 5 instructors on-ice
2018 Cost: $425.00 CDN funds plus H.S.T (13%)Plyometrics and off-ice program will be mailed June 1.Plyometrics are activities designed to develop power. They include a variety of footwork drills and special exercises which enhance a hockey player’s ability to move quickly and explosively. Agility and balance are also improved. 
At the “STATE OF THE ART” Sir Sandford Fleming College Residence
RESIDENCE FEATURES:
- Each residence unit has 6 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms with showers
- Each residence unit has 1 senior staff per 5 players
- Each residence unit has refrigerator and all furniture
- On main floor of residence unit is laundry facilities, game room, and work-out gym
- Outside the residence includes basketball court,
- tennis court, soccer field and baseball diamond plus
swimming at the Wellness Centre
RESIDENCE INCLUDES: (Sunday through Friday afternoon)
- Check-in Sunday 4:00 pm at Sir Sandford Fleming College; check-out Friday 6:00 pm at arena
- 5 night stay over Sunday through Thursday
- 5 dinners Sunday through Thursday
- 5 breakfasts Monday through Friday
- 5 lunches at arena Monday through Friday
- Transportation between Residence and Evinrude Arena daily (5 minutes)
- Camper will be sent checklist of things to bring prior to camp
- Assistance in arranging airport shuttle
