
PASSPORT INFORMATION
What You Need To Enter The United States By Land?
Canadian and American citizens
16 years and older will require
one of the following pieces of identification to enter Canada or the United States directly by land or sea: Valid Passport; U.S. Passport Card (for Americans); Enhanced Drivers license; Nexus Card, Fast Card or Sentri Card.
Children 15 years and under will be able to present their birth certificate or other proof of citizenship when traveling by land.
Special Groups: Children 16 - 18 years of age who are traveling with a school or other organized group, under adult supervision with parental/guardian consent, may also present proof of Canadian or American citizenship such as a birth certificate.
What You Need To Enter The United States By Air?
It is mandatory for all passengers flying to Canada or the United States to have one of the following pieces of identification when traveling by air: Valid Passport; or Nexus Card, when used at a kiosk at designated Canadian and U.S. airports.
This requirement for air travel applies to all travelers, regardless of age, including children.
