At New "STATE OF THE ART" Sir Sandford Fleming College Residence

RESIDENCE FEATURES:

  • Each residence unit has 6 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms with showers
  • Each residence unit has 1 senior staff per 6 players
  • Each residence unit has refrigerator and all furniture
  • On main floor of residence unit is laundry facilities, game room, and work-out gym
  • Outside the residence includes basketball court, tennis court, soccer field and baseball diamond
  • NEW! Swimming at the new Wellness Centre on campus


RESIDENCE INCLUDES:
(Sunday through to Friday afternoon)

  • Check-in Sunday 4:00 pm at Sir Sandford Fleming  College
  • Check-out Friday 6:00 pm at arena
  • 5 night stay over Sunday through Thursday
  • 5 dinners Sunday through Thursday
  • 5 breakfasts Monday through Friday
  • 5 lunches at arena Monday through Friday
  • Transportation between Residence and Evinrude Arena daily (5 minutes)
  • Camper will be sent checklist of things to bring in June mailer
  • Assistance in arranging airport shuttle

15 HOURS ON-ICE MONDAY TO FRIDAY

Players will be placed in proper group according to age

3 hours on-ice daily:

  • 1-1/2 hours in morning each day on shooting, skating, checking, passing and puck control
  • 1-1/2 hours afternoon, team play and scrimmage
  • 1 hour off-ice training
  • 1 hour hockey specific dry land training
  • 1 hour daily recreation including soccer, ball hockey, lacrosse, and basketball
  • Program runs 8 am to 5 pm
  • Individual video tape analysis on shooting and skating
  • Daily lectures
  • Free daily lunch
  • Free official hockey school jersey
  • Groups will be limited to 34 skaters and 4 goalies
  • 6 instructors on-ice
