RESIDENCE FEATURES:

12 TOTAL HOURS ON-ICE AT OLYMPIC CENTER

On-ice daily skill and drill sessions

  • Famous CHE POWER SKATING PROGRAM incorporating forward stride, backward stride, crossovers, mohawk turn, stops, starts and agility
  • SHOOTING - wrist shot, back hand shot, snap shot, deking, slap shot, 1 timers
  • PASSING - forehand, backhand, saucer pass, board pass, 1-touch pass
  • DRILLS to develop skating, passing and shooting in game-like format.
  • 1 hour hockey specific dry land training
  • 1 hour daily recreation including hiking, swimming, soccer and other sports
  • Daily lectures, daily lunch included
  • Receive free official hockey camp jersey
  • 6 instructors on the ice
  • Group size - 34 skaters and 4 goalies

On-ice daily team play and controlled scrimmages

  • Offensive and defensive aspect of 1 on 1’s, 2 on 1’s, 3 on 1’s and 3 on 2’s
  • D to D transition passing
  • Breakouts, faceoff alignment, offensive attack and offensive strategies
  • 30 Minute controlled scrimmage

       DAY 1

  • Check-in 2:00 pm

  • Orientation 7:30 pm
  • Relax and lights out 10:00 pm

       DAY 2, 3, 4

  • Rise ‘n’ Shine 6:30 am
  • Breakfast 6:45 am
  • Walk to arena 7:20 am
  • On-ice 8:00 - 9:30 am Skills ‘n’ Drills
  • Off-ice training at Olympic Center 9:45 am
  • Lecture from instructor 11:00 am
  • Lunch 11:30
  • On-ice 1:00 - 2:30 pm Team play and scrimmage
  • Swimming / tennis / hiking 3:00 pm
  • Dinner 5:30 pm
  • Counsellor escorted activity (ie. movie downtown, recreation)
  • Lights out 10:00 pm

        DAY 5

  • Rise ‘n’ Shine 6:30 am
  • Breakfast 6:45 am
  • On-ice final scrimmage 8:00 - 9:30 am
  • Seminar featuring top U.S.A. players 11:30 - 12:00 noon
  • Lunch 12:30 pm
  • Check-out 1:00 pm Camp is over!
