Program Features
- 25 hours on-ice Monday to Friday
- 6 teams of 15 skaters and 2 goalies
- U.S. College/Junior A information plus tour of Peterborough Petes dressing room.
- special instructor Glen Merkosky, former Sudbury Wolves Head coach and current Detroit Red Wing pro scout
- 5 hours on-ice daily
- 2 hours pro-like drills each morning stressing CHE power skating program plus parachute training
- 1 hour shooting and passing early afternoon
- 1 hour team play focusing on transition, cycling the puck, defencemen jumping in, reading plays, power play and penalty killing, learn 5 forechecks, D-D pass, reverses and 1 hour tournament game late afternoon
- scouts from Junior A, B and U.S. College are present
- Detroit Red Wing off-ice conditioning program
- skills competition, free official hockey school sweater
- day program runs 8 am to 6 pm daily
- individual videotape analysis on shooting & skating
- specialized goalie instruction with video analysis
- 1 hour off-ice training with emphasis on leg strengthening
- 1 hour daily recreation, daily lectures, free daily lunch
- 5 instructors on-ice
