Program Features
- 25 hours on-ice Monday to Friday
- players will be notified of their acceptance by May 15, 2005
- players not accepted will automatically be accepted into the All-Star Program 5 hours on-ice Monday to Friday, breakdown includes: Morning (2 hours)
- 1 hour passing, advanced puck control and checking
- 1/2 hour advanced power skating and parachute training
- 1/2 hour power play and penalty killing Early Afternoon (1 hour)
- shooting and advanced scoring techniques and passing Late Afternoon (2 hours)
- 1 hour team play practice like the pros and 1 hour tournament game with referees
- team play includes teaching transition play, cycling the puck, defencemen jumping in, reading plays, power play and penalty killing, learn 5 breakouts, D-D passes, reverses and more
- tournament format late afternoon game; lineups available for fans and scouts
- day program runs 8 am to 6 pm
- Detroit Red Wing off-ice conditioning program
- individual videotape analysis on shooting & skating
- skills competition
- specialized goalie instruction with video analysis
- 1 hour off-ice training featuring a leg strengthening program utilizing our sport-specific skating machine and plyometrics
- 1 hour daily recreation, daily lectures, free daily lunch
- free official hockey school sweater
- groups are limited to 30 skaters and 4 goalies
- 6 instructors on-ice
- receive hockey school handout
